The 2018 BMW X2 was previewed at last year's Paris Motor Show and will make its official debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March. This compact SUV will feature all of the luxury and performance that the brand is known for in a sleek, sporty package. It will join BMW's other crossover SUVs, the X1 and X3, falling into place between the other two models regarding size and performance.
Despite its compact size, the X2 features an aggressive stance that creates a commanding presence on the road. It is somewhat reminiscent of the new X1 models, but with a wider stance and remodeled grille. The sleek lines let you know that it is every bit as BMW as the other vehicles in the brand's lineup, but with styling that is a bit edgier than its predecessors.
The interior incorporates all of the luxuries that you have come to expect from BMW, including leather seats and natural wood paneling. The X2 will also include the latest technology suite that is already present in the flagship 7-Series model. The cargo capacity has been improved over the previous models, providing more room for luggage without sacrificing passenger space in the rear seats.
The X2 utilizes BMW's xDrive four-wheel drive system for unmatched handling and precision across all terrain types. This makes this vehicle the perfect car for those who love the luxury of the brand but who also enjoy a bit of rugged fun on the weekends. The car will come with a choice between a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine. Customers will have the option of either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic version.
