Jerry Seinfeld Sold a Selection of His Classic Cars

Jerry Seinfeld Sold a Selection of His Classic Cars

Jerry Seinfeld has a car collection to match his sharp sense of humor. The comedian recently auctioned off 16 Porsches and two other cars, bringing in $22 million. The auction took place in Nassau County, Florida, and was spread out over three days. Maybe he was doing some spring cleaning? Take a look at some of the beautiful cars Seinfeld auctioned off.

1955 Porsche 550 Spyder

This rare, blue beauty sold at over $5 million. The 550 Spyder was one of the first Porsches to ever be driven in America and features rare Wendler coachwork.

1973 Porsche 917/30 Cam-Am Spyder Racing Car

The blue and yellow racer brought Seinfeld $3 million and is one of Porsche's classic and most-winning race car models.

1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0

The yellow 911 Carrera sold for $2.3 million, shattering the $1.2 million estimate that was put on it. This model was the standard race car for private racers during the 1970s.

1990 Porsche 962C

This 1990s race car prototype looks a bit like a space shuttle and sold for $1.65 million.

Seinfeld's powerful 718 open cockpit racer sold at $2.86 million,

1994 Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6s Flachbau

This little speedster sold for a little over $1 million. "Flachbau" is German for slant-nose, and is a very rare Porsche model that was not widely produced.

1959 Porsche 718 RSK

The powerful 718 open cockpit racer sold at $2.86 million, almost a million less than the $3.8 million estimate placed on it. The 718 is a racing classic that was popular from 1957 to 1962.

1958 Porsche 356A 1500 GS/GT Carrera

The green convertible brought in $1.54 million, a bit below the $2 million placed on it. The 1950s Carrera Speedster was one of Porsche's first racing models that it continued to develop throughout the decades.

1960 Volkswagen Beetle

While it may not have been the most exciting car up for auction, Seinfeld's Beetle broke a world record as the most expensive Beetle to sell at an auction, bringing in $121,000.

Seinfeld reportedly still has more than  100 cars at home, including 32 Porsches and other beautiful vehicles. And now many of us are wondering what he is going to do with that extra $22 million. Perhaps Seinfeld was making room so that he can add to his car collection.
